A Moment of Happiness

The pursuit of happiness is… …mining each moment for something that feels good. Moments are all about savoring, appreciating… …and taking in without resistance whatever it is that shows up. A moment is not about justifying your existence. It's justified. You exist. It isn’t about proving your worthiness. It's done. You are worthy. It isn't about achieving success. You never fully get it done. It is about "How much joy can this moment deliver to me?" And some of you like them fast, some of you like them slow. Neither is better or best. Neither is right or wrong. You get to choose. No one is keeping score. All that is, is all that is. The only measurement is between your desire and your allowing. And your emotions tell you everything there is about that. Inspired by an Abraham-Hicks quote from April, 2002.

hello Linda, never saw this one of yours before. very interesting. I can't say that I agree with all but I can say it is well written and thank you for your comment. That certainly gave me happiness . You have such a command of the language .It amazes me how you can grab the essence of a thing and simply put it into words. Wonderful. You have a talent. By the way you understood my poem.... cool. for a while there I thought i had not a good enough job with it because of some other comments. : )

PS. I did not make up footles. A guy here (I never see him anymore but I guess he comments to a few people) invented the name for this way of writing. He even did some contests with them a long while back!

Very clever, Linda. Our emotions tend to rule our brains, but happiness is an emotion and we are in relentless pursuit of it. Excellent poem! Love, Carolyn
