A Father-The Son

Joined hands proud smiles "let's walk a thousand miles!!!" "wake up,shall we?" to defy, to ignore tonight no man shall snore startled and awake little heart pounds and ache nine years through a pair of eyes from above, ask a lot of whys? heavy, big but nonetheless gentle a hand on shoulder, another on mantle "come and try, my son" # tonight sleep to rise along the sun kiss on forehead while i settle with my bed no gift of anger still gaze boiling red "Father, why so many together?" #to hate to unite to fight to die and even, to kill "To make all safe, sound and secure,my little bill" "I feel scared",trembling lips utter notice the rolling tears with sweet smell of factory butter a hug two kiss mixed with infinite love and care # Don't worry, your mother is here Her worried hands with help of eyes,"you going out, tonight?" "Have to, rights of men and mine....it's all right" hear one more voice while it converts to many cries safe, sound and secure # i hope the field dries happy dreams with yellow to ball,we wish right but clouds only pour bloody red, tonight..... but clouds only pour bloody red, tonight.....

"but clouds only pour bloody red,tonight..." The repetition has quite an impact on me. I think to myself 'I have to read this piece again.' About the use of ellipsis at the end, it's an unfinished thought, right? Because I wander, 'and then what after the clouds pour bloody red?' I can't seem to draw my own conclusion with this one. Very interesting poem. Quite a unique perspective I must say. What was the inspiration for writing this poem? Congrats on your poem being featured this week.xoxo

Wow I love how you just put it there. I study psychology and I really love history. So I'm quite disturbed by that fact too, hey- even the minds of those who are at least supposed to be innocent for a while, have their minds forcefully infiltrated with junk, despite the efforts of loved ones to protect those little minds. Yeah it truly is a conflict- battle of the mind and also because of some societal aspects (conditioning, traditional expectations, and what have you) and more contribute to this. So as you say, and as history has proven time and again, "no one is untouched". Impressive hey.

Thanks for quite a cheerful comment and take on the work..... Inspiration is-- 'man's feelings' which are based on 'association' whether a loved one or a cause....and the conflict of protecting loved ones from the passion, determination and sometimes anger from your actions for the cause...............but as history has it "no one is untouched" not even an innocent mind of a 9 yr old.

I actually did read it again(twice!) I read it out loud and the first 8 lines have this special ring to them.Poem gives me mixed feelings. After the kiss on the forehead,it's sort of sweet, joyful but also sad(when worry creeps in). But the two last lines are still my fave. peace
