There Are Fools Just Like Me

beautiful drive through winding roads forest paths and clear sky shopping in town an hour away riding high, friend and I park my car in the parking lot walking a honeycomb of shopping, coffee , and dining we're primed to head back home how many times I’ve parked my car forgot where it may be, the exact location it was. there are fools just like me I don't have a fancy remote Sigh! to set off my car alarm and locate it by noise I know it can’t be far I’m tired of losing my white car wandering up and down trying my key to see which door. I must look like a clown a skill I still have not mastered nightmares do still haunt me looking ,but never there, stranded it’s been towed without me 7/24/2016 True story. One day I tried my key in four different cars because they all look the same as mind and my friend just laughed at me. haha. this was GREAT . I love your funny story. It's happened to me a few times. you could buy a little scarf and put it on the handle or something. There should be some little thing you could mark your car with!

Hello Eve, This story is indeed a funny one. I had a few occasions like this one myself especially when I lived in Washington, DC some years ago. Parking and finding one's car later can turn into an unexpected exercise. Best of Luck in the contest!! And thanks for your recent read on my new Canzone write!! Cheers and Best, Gary

Mrs Eve, just get you a bumper sticker and if your cell phone has a camera, take a photo of something nearby, like a lightpole with a number on it. Don't feel bad, it happens to all of us. Great poem!

Moral of story, Eve- get yourself a 1970 Cadillac ElDorado, spray it fluorescent pink with yellow flowers, and put an extended radio aerial on it with a golf ball on the end. That should sort it. Fun write, Viv x
