The Redemption Plan
Ten thousands of Angels encircled the cross.
Gathering silently they waited and watched.
Standing at attention, this the appointed hour.
On bended knee they offered praise at Love’s wondrous power.
Closer they pressed still, they knew the Father’s redemptive plan
but why, they could not understand would the Holy One die for sinful man.
Mournfully they watched as each breath he struggled to take, all of this he gladly
suffered for mankind’s sake.
Michael, the captain of his host, seeing his pain jumped to his defense but by the
others restrained.
They knew that before the foundations of the world were lain that the Blessed
Lamb of God was to be offered and slain.
Their eyes met his with reverent awe as straight to the Father’s heart they saw.
Toward Heaven he lifted his eyes and with a loud voice he cried,” Father it is
finished!” and hung his head and died.
A loud cry through the heavens arose as a trumpet blew; it was not the end but the
beginning they knew.
Three days past, their silent vigil now through! They rolled back the stone to
witnessed Mankind's salvation in view
