The Boy and the Broken Little Girl
There was a little girl crying in the corner
Crying tears of sadness and pain
Sometimes people would walk by and question if she was sane
Hearing their judgments
Hiding in the shadow of the dark corner
The little girl locked it all inside where no one could see
Her skin was lock her blade was the key
Then one day along came a boy
Who knew her true worth
This boy held her close
He threw away her key
He held her close as hidden emotions broke free
His hold kept her together
While sobs and memories broke her
Back-and-forth they rocked
Until she could cry no more
When she had finished he picked up the pieces
And put her together again
Slow and steady
He helped her to get ready
Ready to face the world
Today the boy holds the girl once again as she cries
But today the tears and a smile follow the words "I do"
The little boy and little girl no longer live in the corner
The little girl feels no need to hide
She can take anything with the boy by her side
