Some Day May Rise
Some Day May Rise
They say that my head must be cracked;
Me really being considered for a contract
Based on my poems as paltry as they are;
They apparently appear to be way out far.
To me my poems are both great and good
And what I want done if you only would
Is to my poems more attention be paid;
One day mine might appear on Hit Parade.
Grand Old Opera should also suffice
Like sugar and spice making things nice;
Even though cantankerous fool may be
My poems are now more than mediocrity.
Popular my poem and poems have became;
Now I no longer will ever be the same;
Many have started to say to my surprise;
Like star outside and flour I am starting to rise.
