Forked Tongue Seduction

The forbidden fruit, in a garden chaste Hanging from branches of eternity Forked tongue seduction, temptation's taste From Eden to outcast , hard to believe Our destiny becomes mortality Knowledge of good and evil, we receive Paradise interrupted, fall from grace Redemption the solution, it's our hope Flesh and blood deductions, human race A lamb to the slaughter, the full price paid With dusty conclusions we try to cope Forgiveness the answer, sacrifice made The forbidden fruit, in a garden chaste Paradise interrupted, fall from grace ~~~~ Contest name: Cornish Sonnet Sponsor: Craig Cornish

aha, another Cornish sonnet. I have one now but not sure I did it right because his example had different syllable counts for the last two lines compared to the other lines. way to accomplish this. I think it was not easy to write in this form.

That is it--- the all of man in a nutshell. How sad to let God down at such an early stage of the beginning of creation. How awesome that Jesus paid the price for that... unconditionally ! Loved the poem... great write. Xx~Xx

strong write, funny thing about evil and good, hard to see one without the other, where would the measurement come from, where does good start or evil end? at what point does black and white become gray?
