Angel In Your Eyes
An angel in your eyes
So often does occur
When a loved one dies
and left this earthly world.
You see them everyday
With each waking breath
It never goes away
Fond feelings are so long kept
That face you so long to see
That kiss you do recall
That smile that so broadly
looked almost 10 feet tall
The thoughts you shared unspoken
because no words need be said
That heart that now lies broken
shares an empty bed.
The past now so cherished
Is but a memory
For a precious love has perished
But lives on eternally
The future seems uncertain
We know not what it brings
We shall not close the curtain
A love constantly affirming
So when we see that angel
We lovingly recall
A love still strong and faithful
Shall not ever fall!
