The Darkness At Noon
Morning came with glow of sun
And birds sang their usual songs
In the skies clouds would run
Each trying to catch the other one
A few hours later the day grew dark
As the clouds had changed their disposition
A funnel cloud in the distance marked,
the coming of certain destruction
With the sound of a freight train
The deadly tornado struck
Bringing sorrow death and pain
As it destroyed cars and trucks
It came with a vengeful wrath
Wreaking havoc on everything in its path
Where buildings once stood, debris was strewn
Darkness had come, at noon
