Interesting poem; like the best Haiku this can be interpreted in several ways: Is the poet drinking because s/he is lonely and will then be condemned because of that act or Has the poet already been sentenced to hell and the sup of firey amber liquid is his/her swansong? Either way, great poem! Thanks for stopping by my poems!

AAAAAH! this haiku made me go try one for myself. I posted one today but i couldn't remember where i had seen this one so my haiku is deadicated to you with all its faults and with the full knowledge that you are worth far more than my grubby poem. Let's hope that God's forgiving grace can save us from ourselves. The question is, is why is there so much liquer on the shelves. The power of 25 was truly maxed with your haiku Anne. Peace. :)
