Surrender All
I write of joy, I speak of peace,
But I see only a world locked in tension with no visible release.
A world in a frenzied state that has seemed to have lost all hope,
A world that has lost sight as God hands us a saving rope.
A world so full of greed, anger, and of lust,
When lies set the agenda, tell me whom can you trust?
When we start changing laws that have served mankind so well,
In order to appease those that are headed straight for hell.
Then our freedoms we have compromised with no one we can blame,
It’s hard to hold my head up in a world so full of shame.
We must read our Bibles and adhere to God’s every word,
And lead the life He teaches or have His wrath incurred.
We freely make the choices that seal our eternal fate,
And if you haven’t made that choice the hour is getting mighty late.
I pray your eyes are open and to God your life you surrender,
For in that precious moment you feel His mercy, so sweet, so very tender.
