In Reverie

It was all there, it seemed. The singing in the skies, the echo of footfalls on the path ahead, the flash of chiffon against the dieing sun, even the persistent softness of the kiss I thought I felt upon my cheek. All of it, but elements of dawning consciousness, of premature awakening when dreams surrendered to a cruel reality, for yes, something was missing after all. Someone the night, the day, all time could celebrate... You! ~
