girl, cry, tears

I flap my wings and fly away Tired of crying, tired of trying to smile It rips me A different person in dark shadows Not funny or cool Goodbye beautiful stories of love My mask fooled everyone Does it even matter anymore ~ who I am 07.04.2016 A-L Andresen :)

Sounds a lot like depression. It is never a good thing when we have to wear our "masks". It so much easier to be who we really are. Sorry you are sad. It matters to me! Peace sweet friend and be well:)

Wearing masks is exhausting and distressing ... very sad to read this, but poignantly written.

I've felt like this before and it's not such a good feeling. But once you can be yourself without any masks, the freedom is worth the risk... This is a deeply moving and soulful write. Beautifully expressed, Anne-Lise, as always :)
