Across the Potomac
Across the Potomac a single figure sits
Looking out over the land his loved in the morning mist
A gentle man and tired his best you see
He wanted peace for this land and once again unite the country
As he looks across this land and sees what we are
I wonder if his head is down saying a silent prayer
