I Wish I Was Still There

I think of you often and fondly Even though I know you can't see or hear me Yet I gently touch your face and call you name I'm that warm breeze that caresses you and the soft summer rain If I could turn back time I'd find a way To be again with you for all your days To see your smile and look into your eyes How sad they are gone from me in a blink of an eye Our paths crossed in a time we both were searching for something Our spirits bonded and our search seemed to stop or did if just begin You found this broken down cowboy who had lost the will to fight And made him whole again and the man I knew in another life You gave me an illusion of what I once was But more that that you gave me the greatest gift of all you gave me love Never asking or imposing just always there No matter what I faced each day you listened and you cared Well ma'am seems I've got nothin more to say Cept I miss you and wish I was still there today
