Expectations
Idiosyncrasies were cherished
in their fondness - newly known
then the wallet's paper perished
all it's green - so quickly blown
not by fire - not by loss
just that it was spent
bringing tempers - oh so cross
so severely came the vent
once - the cutest feature
of a love so true
now becomes a creature
such a contemplative stew
