The world is not a dark place, the world is a place where it is very hesitant to shine. As another face on this Earth, it is my priority to move forward and continue with life, even if it means leaving others behind. Even if it means making sacrifices. I know it sounds crazy right? Taking his or hers life all just to move forward? I know it does. But no matter how thick his or her blood is and how big of a heart they have, there will always be a dark side. In other words (if you struggle to relate), the nicest person can have the most twisted internal conflict and release it on every pedestrian that crosses their way, and the most hateful person can have a sunshine and rainbow at the end of their thunderstorm. There are many different kinds of people in this unknown presence we call a world, but at the end of the day, when you look in the mirror, and you see your own reflection, ask yourself what's next. The world is defined by people and people are defined by the world. In other words (again if you struggle to relate or if you have late reflexes on opening your pupils), without the people, there's a world, and without the world, there is no people. So there is no telling which is which, but who's to say who's more dominant? World vs People. The world. The answer is and always will be the world. Now when you look at this, you wonder,"what is this kid talking about?" Or you probably stopped reading after the title, I'd be surprised if you made it passed looking at your own true reflection, I'm even more surprised you made it to this point. You know how you got to this point? As you're reading this, the world is still showing you consistency and continuous processes just for your time being wasted. Ever think about that?

Shayne, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
