Poem
being right all the time can be very boring ... if always right, perhaps you may have little to say that's problematic for all-powerful beings, godlike creatures the rest of us engage in memory storing ... being a bit right and a bit wrong, the order of the day knowledge arising from our conversations with teachers being more right than wrong I hear you imploring ... surely beats more wrong than right and must be the way how else can we steer to the stars in those big movie features? one idea that may hold significant truth ... science is distinct from other forms of expression responding to reality, such as art and religion scientific method, falsification forsooth ... being somewhat wrong should not feed depression for find the way forward, advance, even just a smidgen rude to dig in, attitude uncouth ... remain open to challenge, pictures change in succession columbines or moving ducks, pigeon or widgeon? there is no such thing as scientific proof ... just the probability of a statement holding true the question very often more important than answer so expose belief, be empirical, don't be aloof ... don't always be a verifier, for you may fail to renew don't be dazzled by style or the forever leading dancer beware rings of truth made up on the hoof ... so devoid of content, impossible to refute or review distrust charisma, for it might hide some pleading chancer no rigorous rationale nor logical grip ... art and religion when they expose their hand seek confirmation, mostly there to impress but art can be companion to science, very hip ... creativity, small in scale to supremely grand communication with raw feelings to express neither right nor wrong an artist will strip ... clothes from the real world, maybe understand aspects of truth imbued with artistic excess contrary religion, organised deception ... purporting to populate, deal and describe universe of deities, hierarchy, lowly to high homo-sapiens and divine intervention ... purpose and special place for this favoured tribe forget other hominids and beings from the sky unless of demonic or angelic inception ... those exotic deities tempt, threaten and bribe jealous omnipotent, all-powerful, incredibly shy priesthood oft times has religion to serve ... controlling new thoughts for purpose abusive gets them young lest they free-think for themselves claiming truth-revealed, such a nerve ... spinning blind faith and love with fear so intrusive weaving weird wicked stories with goblins and elves avoiding truth with a strange body swerve ... some priests deviate, become transparent illusive might be better if they had left their tales on the shelves don't feel secure or mount a high horse ... whether sceptical scientist, expressive artist preaching priest or just a common boy or a girl savvy sooth-sayers can be found of course ... be wary of politicians, they are not the smartest seeking our support, narrow flags flap and unfurl abrasive banners, arguments with no force ... twist and turn the truth until it tastes the tartest smile so sweet, sing silly songs, then give you a twirl
