Poem
Dear God I pray you keep our men from harm, it's you who dwells inside the flames of life. When we're with you we're safe without alarm; dear God I pray we'll soon be free from strife. Now since your kingdom has now come along, I ask You now show us Your precious will. It's in your strength we learn to live so strong; I pray our leaders vision does not kill the very thing You want to see them do. Instead I pray dear Lord that each will be great men and women who will first love You; such people have your sound integrity. I close this prayer with just this one request help each of us to do our very best. Help each of us to do our very best, then soldiers in your army we will be. For in you strength we'll surely pass life's test, if each of us will learn to follow Thee. The rules You've given me I shall adhere, for now I have become a child of Yours. Oh, I shall never run or flee from fear; I'll wait for You to bring me through life's doors. The best from you I know I'm yet to find, because I'm not perfected in your sight, though to Your children you are more then kind, for we are purchased with Your blood alright. Now all of life's become a sacred race; I'll try my best to keep within your pace. I'll try my best to keep within your pace so when testing comes I will remain. With You there' nothing that I cannot face, for now I have recieved Your holy name. I pray that every man will follow soon the road you've surely paved for each of them. It's then each life will fully come in tune, as each one's lump of coal becomes a gem. Because I know not what tommorrow brings, my trust I have for You will never die; for I shall wait to fly upon Your wings: when in that day I meet You in the sky, Dear Lord, just one more thing I need to say, help me to stay the course when skies are gray. Help me to stay the course when skies are gray, as enemies are burning fires around. Let not my eyes from You then go astray, but now and ever keep me safe and sound. I hope to always walk in paths You've made; it's their that I will find Your precious touch. You've healed my life from sin because I've prayed to make you Lord of all I Iove so much. I know not what tommorrow has in store, but of Your presence here I am assured; now You are more the fables to explore, While I Am but a preson who's endured. To keep Your word and do what you have asked, I feel that I am blest in every task.
