Poem
You once were little, With really tiny feet, I was once able, To cradle you, Feed you, Watch you sleep, Watch you take your first step, With still those tiny feet, Your first word, Even if it was Daddy, Watching you smile, Is the most prescious moment, That made me happy, The memories of you growing up, The images we save, Your not a little baby anymore, Your grown up, And on your own journey, Soon you will beable, To have the great prescious memories, You will always be my baby, Small, Grown up, Or other wise, Because you were my baby, My little child, At one point and time, Adopting you out, Is the hardest thing to do, But living on the streets, I couldn't do it with you, A home isn't meant for you, Out on the streets, long, hard, and lost my family, But to be reuinited with you today, Is always going to make me cry, Holding you in my arms, As grown up as you are now, feeling so bad, I couldn't have you then, Lost you along the way, But now I have found, It was my stupidity, But its all back in place, I get to meet you, for the first time of loss, still remembering those tiny feet, Trying to figure out how I was able to give you up, Let the tears flow, The good times begin, To hold you in my arms, After years of emptiness, My once young child, Thats all grown now, I am sorry, For ever letting you go... For the Contest of Lost Family, Their isn't a way to describe the feeling of signing your child away. I tried with this poem, it has happened with me.
