Poem
My pain was like rain. It was sometimes soft, heavy, too much, sometimes it didn’t come at all, Not until I slipped and had to fall. Pain will always rain, Like bits and pieces of grain. It will start off small, It won’t grow tall. Not yet, Don’t let that thought set. You all think that someone dies, But maybe that’s just all lies. There’s the too early and the too slow, Some just pray and wish to go. They leave the world and they will never know. Cuts and scars, They feel like they are on planet Mars. There are thousands of scars that mark my body they are dark and old, I used to scrub them off like they were mould. Now people behold, For they look silver and gold. I am never ashamed of myself, the people who were stolen, taken away from me. I feel there pain, But they will never go in vain. I feel them watching, hoping and I will never let them down again.
