Poem
On the seventh day, having listened and watched , Lucifer contemplated taking the next step, seeing how these lesser entities endured their self believed perfection. "I may be a god no more but I think I cam be once again, here on earth, among these creatures of men." Into the garden Lucifer went, creeping cautious and quiet along the earth, keeping hidden in the darkened shadows, in hopes that God would not see, In the central core he found them, the woman and the man. He recognized and analyzed their weakness as once, it was his own. Hearing God's voice and his directing them not to eat the fruit, Lucifer took his chance and the seductive temptation began. Words slithered from his sly tongue and kissed the woman's ear and she recognized and accepted the power within. She knew she too, was the very image of God in man and therein, lay the jaws of the trap. To be equal to God, Lucifer gave his word and she shared the knowledge equally with the man. In that moment as God closed the gate, Lucifer was sure he had won but one more time while lurking in the shadows, Lucifer heard God's voice rise. "The woman will be your destruction and beware, the son of man." Lucifer looked up but the image grew faint and for a second, he saw Michael on God's left hand. With sword drawn and raised, his wings expanded across the earth and sea. God then tasked the choir of angels down to earth to the sides of humankind, not to intervene but guide.
