WEARY SOUL The walls in my mind barricade me within myself Stripping me of everything worth anything to me inside All of my knowledge, all my power, and all of my wealth Leaves me with nothing; respect, compassion, love, dignity, or pride As the years crawl near -- to where I'll forever be Strapped and chained inside myself -- this evil Pandora's lock-box Every sense snuffed from me; taste, hear, smell, touch, and see Somewhere inside my mind -- all new windows and doors remain locked The walls moan and shift higher and higher and higher each day Travelling through this nightmareish, suffocating maze Leaves me with no voice in my throat to simply say As life's inches creep on, the levels get deeper and deeper with haze The air grows colder -- my lungs begin to lock Suffocating against the syncronicity of this Universe The walls climb higher and higher -- soon they begin to block But they've robbed my voice inside to even ruthlessly curse The blackness arises out of this abyss in the night The animals and demons devourishly prowl No adrenaline left inside to initiate the emotion "fright" Selfishly they poison my visions now Stuck in this circle of walls that trancend me And all the failed relationships that spoiled and rot All the ounces of blood I will forever continue to bleed Everything that could be -- instead life has a plot All the beginnings you start over and over again All the faces you've met that have stayed or left All of the individual souls -- you know, too -- have sinned None of these friendships or relationships you've kept All goes to waste -- when your life is lost All provides NOTHING when your way is hazed The lives that this Universe has cost While lifeless bodies walk dreamingless in a constant daze Alone you'll be -- when you can't see Tired you'll become from walking in this repetitive square So alone you'll sit and rest by a dead tree You're so frustrated -- you could pull out all of your hair As the hot tears roll down your cheeks And the winds finally suffocate you to a whole Remember all of your wasted weeks And surrender your weary soul...
