Who ARE You Contest Sponsor: Catie Lindsey Hmmmm...Who am I? I have asked myself this question many times. My strength from past incidents has depleted my insecurity. Now, I am free to be me.... As a child I was seen as confused and insecure. I didn't see life the way my peers did. I felt different and deserving of loneliness. As a young adult I grew into the young lady I had dreamed of. It wasn't until my mid twenties I faced unfortunate circumstances of an addiction to chemical substances. It was seven years ago. I almost died too many times. I have said goodbye to those occurrences with a sparkle in my eye; so long to shame and regretful guilt. Now I bathe in the beauty of freedom. The storms controlled me, letting go saturated many years of the chains that smothered me. When the yesteryears approached I saw the glory of the illuminations I was worthy of. I have endured many losses I may never heal from, but they are carried in my heart. Now I am guilty of loving too much and carrying empathy like a beautiful weight hovering around my shoulders. I have confident faith in myself. I do have a few silly things about myself. I am known for going to bed way too early, yet waking up way too late. I love coffee and apple strudel. I enjoy supernatural shows and movies. Next to writing, eating chocolate is my favorite past time. I share dreams with my daughter as she looks at me with her big brown doe eyes and a shimmer in her smile. I love with all the essence my heart has to offer. I'm needy. I need the warmth of my husband while he plays with my hair in bed. I need my family. I need my pets. I need anything compassionate this world has to offer. Finally, I need the Lord. He is my light, and I shall follow His ways until my last breath... Hmmmm...Who am I? I have asked myself this question many times. ~I am everything I could've hoped for and more~ blessings in lessons my compassion runs deeply this is who I am ~Date Written: April 3, 2016~
