Poem
>A Lady spoke on hard talk. A lady spoke on Hard Talk. Of how she was treated so. By -’s excuse for men. We have pigs, far better. And those – excuse for men. There was no expression in her voice. No expression on her face. It was as though she was lost. But she was, oh so full of grace. Many must have heard her plea. She needed so much help you see. But us English men have lost our clout. Must not talk, or out loud shout. If we do, laws are quoted at us. Could be locked up, if we make a fuss. Not allowed to express what we feel. About the way those – rule the field. I hope the Lady soon, can be free. Of all the wrong done to she. Her loss. I fear must rest on us. Fearing for ourselves. We dare not fuss. A Lady spoke on hard talk. Of how she was treated so. There was no expression in her voice. No expression on her face. It was as though she was lost. But she was, oh so full of grace. I must as an Author first, be careful what I write, as sometimes, someone, somewhere, takes offence of what one writes. So if I write of people whose name sounds like a dash, and I use a symbol of a dash, I cannot be offending anyone can I? I cannot shake the vision off, of this lady who was explaining how she had been treated being a captive of these - excuses for human beings. And how she was made to watch the killings of members of her family. The visions of inhumanity she had witnessed must have been so horrific. She was not the only person to shed tears when she finally gave way to her emotions at the end of the interview. If this poem is removed by Poetry Soup, I shall understand. It is already in print in my seventh book of poems, being collated as I sit at my laptop. Peace be with you all. Stanley (The Mad Author)<
