Poem
His eyes were like stars shining in the moonlight His face was a glow as he stood there in the night My heart was a pounding as he touched my hand I felt my toes crinkle in the sand We began to talk and reminisce of the old We soon began to realize it was getting cold So he put his arms around me to keep me warm And at that very minute my heart was transformed.. As we looked deep in each others eyes I was so happy I began to cry He wiped the tear from my face And at that very moment my heart began to race This was something I never felt before I couldn't believe how it made me desire more As the sun began to go down and it became dark I could definitely feel that this was more than a spark As we lay there on the beach in the night He looked at me with such delight It felt so great lying there in his strong arms Not feeling fear safe from all harm As he gently placed his hand on my cheek All of a sudden I became very meek He slowly leaned in to kiss me and I was sublime I knew there was something different this time He spoke gently and said I have loved you for a long time But I never thought that you could be mine Now that you are here it feels like a dream Something out of a picture book or a scene You are so fine and ravishing such a beauty I see For many years my heart has been drawn to thee Touch me my love and let me know this isn't surreal For my heart is spinning like a record on a reel As he took my hand and we walked along the shore I knew he would be a man I would always adore My mind was thinking of how wonderful this felt Being with someone that made my heart melt At last I knew this was the one for me And when we kissed I knew we both agreed Now were living happily ever after In a life filled with love and laughter
