Poem
What could be better than the sight of my room After a day which nearly did echo with the Devil's name A day running around to the whims of my boss A day during which I did feel that the best part of myself was at a loss What could be better than a peaceful night Thought I, feeling ecstatic at my cozy room's light Why, I would just complete this stubborn paper And drown in a most needed slumber But hey, the moment that I opened my drawer In search of a pen to write, oh such a thing so proper That a little something made me jump Yes, listening closely, I realized that, coming from my window, was a bump I opened the curtains with a bold stature And stood looking at what lay in front of me with, in my heart, a blur There, stood a huge purple train Come and join us for a ride, was the driver's refrain Come, jump in through the window You shall not regret this journey tomorrow Come, jump in, it is the journey of a lifetime It is a journey everyone enjoys at bedtime! I hesitated only for two seconds Then, I went through the window And soon was in the train, going where it shall go Going to whichever dreams it wishes to ascend Wow, the journey was magnificent I was treated like a Queen, given all I desired From a sip of brandy To a bite of candy We went to the lands I have always been dreaming of There where princes win against the dragons which do rave There where princesses are given their worth There where love itself is made into an element of worth We went to the lands of the mystical creatures I enjoyed with them more than one magical trick Why, I did attempt a magician's trick Why, I did play the role of a most promising heroine We went to the land of the Gods I did explain to them that dedicated to them are all my odes I saw the real nature of paradise I saw the hidden part of those that we call, skies! Finally we went to some strange land Make it in your home indeed Said to me the driver of the train You shall be here, the only one to reign I hesitated, knowing that on Earth, does await for me, my duty My life, and everything else, that it shall come the time of my demise That someday, I shall wake up to some other reality That waiting for me, is my muse I shall go back, I said, I am made of strength I shall face it all, I trust my faith And I did wake up in my cozy bed Ready to face another day in this world of dread! It was indeed a most lovely trip Why, now, I shall remember it as such For gone is the train The train of all the lands!
