Poem
I Must Move On It's been so long, why can't I move on? I chose to leave on my own, But now I always have memories of our love. Part of the reason I left you is gone, I left all of that too. I go out and I think about you. On this night I was alone and ready for a good time, At the beginning of the night, it seemed that was all I could do. As the night continued though, thoughts of the past, Brought pain and it felt like I was right next door to hell. I continued to remember that in my eyes you were so fine. I fought tears back because I don't cry but It hurts to know that we are estranged. We probably would never be close again. All I thought about as I stood by the water, Was seeing you with another man. It was there that I wondered should I slash my wrists? As this thought ran through my mind I know that I need to show a little patience. Time went by, Then I would try to only think of right now, To have nothin' but a good time. This would be great, I won't forget you but, I need to move on. It's been a decade and I ended it but I still miss you, Maybe it was a mistake but life goes on. I may tell myself I need to keep going, But I just can't let go. I will always have your beauty on my mind, And no matter what it will hurt that I let you go. They say every rose has it's thorn, but this thorn is there because of me. Now I stand by the same water, Should I inject this poison to forget. I just don't know. Will I ever find love again? The only way to know is to move on, And forget the past.
