Poem
You dig into my skin with your claws of distrustful disdain Why don’t you welcome the Healing rain? I promise that it will wash away the troublesome pain That bullies you to the extreme – try, darling, try to remain sane, Yet, I still feel for you…I have been driven insane By the broken record thoughts of you, leaving me behind… Sprinkle salt and pepper upon my distasteful flavor…train me to be self-controlled and not be too wild I was that one insecure, sad child… I take my time, jotting out notions that transform into poetry right before my very eyes I thought to myself - these starlit scars will never heal, unless God sprinkles salt and pepper upon my distasteful flavor...erase the pain that hits me to the core...yet, you were the one that I-I adore! At least I’m not gazing at the Lord of the Flies…thank the Lord of Accord I don’t have to bid my horrid goodbyes… Don’t give me the cold shoulder…please don’t hurt me…I know I am not your kind I am not your kind…but I am kind and mild… I thought to myself - these starlit scars will never heal, unless God sprinkles salt and pepper upon my distasteful flavor...erase the pain that hits me to the core...yet, you were the one that I-I adore! I hear the waves of the sea roar in my ears – I hold our reminiscences of rare radiance next to my heart and I can hear the rhythm of your heart, mixing with my own… Am I crazy for loving you? I’m wishing you weren’t gone, yet on and on, I tread this rocky road of recovery…I am like a cone without any cool, round ice-cream to hold up…I shant give up; I was afraid of the unknown And motivation shined upon me…I never let my upside down frown be weighed down again – marry me, merriness that was once a part of my heart… I feel like there’s a part of me missing from the start and I felt as if I was rolling in my death cart; I was young, healthy and happy and then, all of the sudden, I’m a teenager that’s practically lost in a fairytale…lost in a placid paradise and bowing down to despair without a care…it never repaired my tear, but it tore me down all the way – the only way to mend me is to see your face one more time; that would melt my heart away because you’re my awesome work of art I was once that dense, wild, immature child, carelessly doing whatever he wanted to do… Until I met you…out of the blue, I knew you were lost and alone too… How did I know you were coming down with the love flu? War is not the answer to maintaining peace of mind; hey, at least we’re on the same bus All we need is God’s love to bring us tragedy in reverse – first, we must leave the past behind…us…
