Poem
The other day I heard a voice. Saying life is altered by a single choice Be careful what you do or say Think twice before you ask and pray Life is lived day by day Think twice before you choose your way We had little control of where we started With even less control from where we departed But we can more control the final end By choosing carefully our enmies and friends We dance the dance we choose to dance Then we leave life to chance Instead of living the life we chose to live We do exactly what others did And then gets mad when God chooses not to forgive Who are we to know not, yet not know anything that is Afterward we get mad because it affected the kids You should of thought the thought Before you thought to think the life you bought You should of checked your wallet first Before you were shown the total cost You should've been smart enough to put some back Before you found yourself running backwards down life's train tracks But instead you held your head high and out your chest you claimed your life was yours even til death You friends tried to change you with their every breath But you dance the dance you chose to dance And you rather leave life to mere chance. You was a now it all, yet you did not know it all You were a warrior but never scared to fall You had two phones but never answered the right call You always knew the right words to say Yet you still went the other way You knew how to talk and pray Yet you still lived life day by day You knew life was more work then play Yet you always knew it would be okay How did you have such security In a world filled with lies and insecurities How did you remain so strong In a world filled with less rights then wrongs How did you continue to fight When the society's wrongs out numbered your God given rights How did your life shine so bright When darkness smothered all of your light Who gave you your strength when you needed it the most That even to this day you still continue to boast There has to be more to your story But let you tell it To God be the glory!
