Poem
Turn away from evil… Do what is good or what suits God well Seek peace and pursue it prudently Patiently, rely on God and our hearts will not bleed with dismay Knock on His door everyday He will hear our cries, answer our calls, and open the door for us Wait on Him with earnest hope, Turn away from evil… He will give you the Truth instead of Lies Don’t lose hope, oh you of little faith Hold on to the rope of hope Turn away from evil… God hates evil-doers He loves a cheerful heart and giver He’s a shield in war He relieves us from the fever God hears out His superb, faithful sheep Deliver us from our many fears Turn away from evil… Heal the brokenhearted Let your eyes not sleep tonight, But pray to Him until the dawn arrives His sun-shining spirit will be strengthened and renewed We will shed no more…tears! Turn away from evil… He will fill our cups to the brim He will encourage us to drink in more cheers Afflictions and disappointments Have fallen upon us Once more...I'm trying to explore We need more time - so, what are you waiting for? Turn away from evil... Look up to HIM or you'll face peril! Turn away from evil… We’re plagued by sin and abominable lusts, But we must keep trying…keep running till we lose our breath We need Your life, not tear-jerking death Turn away from evil... We must keep trekking the road of recovery We will experience cloud 7 in no time… We will be shining bright like the sun in the aqua-blue sky possibly Turn away from evil… Depression has casted us away from the illuminating love, shimmering with majestic bliss We drift away from God’s Word and worship other gods in this World of Woe Turn away from evil… Guilt hits us to the core, but we must keep score Of all of the miracles that God has bestowed upon us kindly I need Him more and more than ever before We will escape this plight, we will find our way out of the maze, though we graze blindly What does the future have in store for us? This is something we should ignore Turn away from evil… Or we'll end up in our ruins and We'll have a tainted soul That wouldn't be grand! But our downfalls - He does understand He does understand...and He gives us a helping hand And wants us to land in His Wonderful Land! Turn away from evil... Or we'll be scattered like sand in the beach We'll have a worthless soul That would be bad! But, our uprisings though - they are rad - reach! Reach for His enlightening wisdom and Turn away from evil... But in the end, All we are is powerless and doubtful sheep, Returning to the dust
