Poem
DEDICATED TO ALL MY CHILDREN NEAR AND FAR. What is in my heart for you - Is what has been in my heart- period dot, dot, dot. My heart is filled. Brimming with love for you And love for all of My universal children: I live to heal myself, through healing my Children who have been casted into roles that do not fit their character-! My lovely children are starring In roles that debase. Yet keeps them involved in… The thrill of the chase. Roles they were never prepared for; My heart over- flows With love for the children berated. Being reared with blueprints, long outdated Being raised by clueless parents. What is in my heart For you is what I have in mind for you. Hope you see my scars And ask how I got them- I would love to lessen your woes; Replacing the wrong input That has been taught. To protect you from those Who would step on your toes What I have in mind for you is that -- You become the one to overcome. I want you to Be the ones addressing This yoke of oppression.! That you be the one who refuses to Follow the path of the wicked. That you write your own ticket. To become what you please Go where you are needed. That you be the one who Will smile and be counted As an asset to the creator Your country and your people. What I want for you- Is, what I want for myself- Is, what I want for For my own seeds- That is to be able To protect our loved ones. From harm. The " y " is but a placeholder Yours becomes ours ... No need to ask why; The fact that we are still alive. Is enough for you to know. The proof being in your living. I want you to be the wise one To be charitable in your giving Also, thankful when receiving Not aloof to the proof. Have the dignity of composure, When faced with those Who thumb their noses- Despite all the dung We've walked through Still, we smell like roses. Wanting, for you to be The one who lives on to dispel The myth, armed with proof; And not aloof to the truth. What is in my heart for you, Is that you be seen clearly As a glorified light- That you are able-- To bring haughtily Noses out of the air- Naughty enough To be understood Deified enough to do The best, the most good. Yet, not afraid of -- But, not having to... Dance in the dark. Or walk in alleyways, Or weave between gunshots; Yellow tapes and crime scenes. What’s in my heart for you is That you may dance Amongst the flowers; And roll down hills in green grasses. And that you never Be subject to all the jaded faces; That want to make you A part of their wicked world. If you are born as a girl I want you to have a husband That always stands up To your adversaries. And evokes extreme Giggles and laughter from your being. And for my sons - I want a wife that will be discerning. As I pray that she will be-- All you will ever need In this life. Period... Dot, dot, dot. Copyright © Vicki Acquah | Year Posted 2013
