Poem
Red, purple, blue, yellow, black, white, green, So many colors around can be seen. They shout and laugh everyday, While I'm alone in every way. Not one here who knows my name, It's just words, nothing's the same. Though they see colors in their minds, It's black and white, no one is kind. We all see differently, my red may be his blue, The world may not be what you see around you. When you're all alone and no one remembers, You only think, from January until December. Many see the world and its true colors, And choose to end theirs, but others, See its darkness and find their calling. They see the light as everyone is falling, Into the pit they call fashion and swag, Full of hate, bitterness, pretense, and price tags. As there are some who fall into the dark, Only few choose to be a spark. To be unique is to choose to be you, No matter what the world says is true. A bandwagon, a popular click, They're all sheep, they're just mimics. In their delusion they're different somehow, But they're wrong, they're like all the others now. It starts when your very young, When they tell you to hold your tongue. Adults and elders say to do what is right, But with peer pressure, they rarely fight. They wear the clothes, the shoes, the rings, Of fame, lust and fortune is what they sing. Hypocrites! Be yourself is written in every song, Yet they wear a mask all day long. These people are not who they are at home, They're fake, their faces are never shown. We who have been alone and have felt the pain, Find each other in the thunder and rain. Maybe it's the tears that makes us stronger, Maybe it's the hurt that makes us love longer. Though it's black inside, it's them who are in the dark, Their world so full of colors yet dead and stark. They believe everything that they hear, They pretend they're strong and have no fear. A reality so set in stone, They refuse to see that they're really alone. Shades drawn down block the sun, I have not seen light since this has begun. He sits by himself, vigorously scratching the paper, He breaks his lead, he's just a water vapor. Here one second and gone the next, He's worth nothing to them, not even a text. The boy does not see that he's the unique one, They say he has no life, he's no fun. They don't stop and think that this boy, Is so broken inside he can feel no joy. Every soul has felt rejection and hate, Some choose to join their lifeless state. Continues...
