Poem
A dream aloft in a cold cloudy black sky, no one is here but you and I. Storm riding a wave from shore to shore, could there be something more. From light to light he envelops the vibe of the mean streets with nothing to hide. Like a dark horse he emerges, an enigma in light to all that lived to know this figure. He is a true loner… A warrior of great stature, he fights to the death emerging unscathed a slave to himself. Only a slave in his mind he lived only to fight, again and again with all his might. When it was now no one cared, about the secret place in his heart he and only he bared. Now he seeks out that place of peace, knowing in his mind the violence will never cease. In this time of the crystal curfew, the equinox shines half for you and the few. Who stand tall and stand alone a beacon of light for all those who stand and fight. Standing alone in and among a crowd of people, incognito, and an oblivious steeple. James C Bryant Jr. November 30, 2001
