Poem
The gift of time exposes all to the blind, as the gift of love warms you heart and soul. To break the mold is to stifle the soul as a whole making one feel old. Friends are hard to come by, when you find one never say goodbye. Through an eye one sees the goldenness of eve. Are you a friend to me I pray that you be. Did God send you to me or are we friends to be, so friends are we let’s not destroy what will be. We belong with thee, as friends. A relationship hold will evaporate our gold, with nothing to hold we grow cold and old, standing bold like statues made of stone; alone! Have we grown to stone, on our own throne alone, many times we have shown what we are own our own, when we feel stripped we will groan. While on our own we sit on our throne made of stone, though we may groan, we both know we are home in a place we feel is our own. To take for granted what we have we would be fools without the tools, to make each other happy. Taking all this into heart you will always be a part, inside you and I there is a friendship that will never die. James C Bryant Jr. December 31, 2001
