Poem
The asphalt forms the perfect landscape Its been laid down for these words Its been placed here for this very escape But its been created for the backwards And its my only company As i lay in box of broken hearts It rains and it turns shiny Wetting its many black parts The needle pinches the senses And then lets them go free As i finally go through those majestic changes And find myself facing the sea Its beauty suddenly transfixed as if paused But the waves still crash in luscious white Gods wet tears is what this has caused All of this thrown into my weak sight My box has suddenly disappeared But it is not this that i have feared For my fears are pointless in my youth For i never am able to speak the truth A black rabbit hops by crossing the sky It is my size precisely But i dont look at its eyes closely For by doing so i feel as though i could die But it turns and tells me to follow In a voice that is chosen not by choice It leads me through trees of purple and yellow My needs become hollow and i rejoice I look up to see whether it is night or day But the rabbit urges me on telling me "this way" We come to a clearing and i see the suns ray And it tells me that in it i must go and lay So i go to the middle of the clearing and ly down In the harsh light i cant see where exactly i be My breathe becomes short as i begin to drown Why would the rabbit ever want to kill me Suddenly i cant breathe anymore And before me appears a door And far off i hear a lions roar Something that has always chilled my core But wait the roar came from the door I feel myself losing life from lack of air I stand up i find i must explore what its for From the trees emerges an enormous bear I grab the door handle but its locked And my fingers are now keys The bear charged followed by bees My index unlocked and through it i walked The door closes behind me and its dark Pitch black abbyss that my eyes dont miss I try to find the door but its left not even a mark I must be brave and get out of this I try to turn back around but im falling Why is there no wind blowing my hair Its on God that i am now calling But to smite him i would never dare A light below draws nearer And it envelopes me completely And brings me to a mirror And i see my face arranged not neatly I realize what this was all for As the light brings me back to before I must turn this ugly page And enter a new age
