Poem
her name is not even mentioned in the Holy Scriptures but the widowed woman who gave two mites left a lasting picture when no one mentions their name most people get put out but who cares about a name as long as God's business you're about? as quick as she was mentioned in the text she was gone but she left us a legacy on which to build on it's not about you giving in a big flashy way it's not about giving grudgingly and then proudly walking away it's not about the Pastor calling out the amount of money you've given it's about giving from the heart and how in Christ you're living Jesus pointed out this woman's deed as something we all should discern to give freely and sacrificially is what He wanted His Disciples to learn to give your last two cents, what would it mean to you? she gave her last two cents, would you give yours freely too? in the Biblical days there was no such thing as Social Security most widowed women lived in abject poverty but she gave all she had, she did what she could she gave from the heart and Jesus saw that as good but what if it were you in the same position what would you do? what would be your decision? your last two cents coming from your heart your last two cents priceless in the eyes of God to give from the inside in tune with your spiritual self as giving from the heart is not measured by one's wealth as those who give thousands they tend to do it just for show but to give your two cents worth is how you spiritually grow so what motivates you when it comes to the Lord Christ? what is the underlying provocation that rules your life? the amount of money that you give is what mankind uses to measure but the motivation for giving is the thing that God treasures God can't use what you give if it's not freely given it matters not the amount it's about how you're living we want God to bless us but to Him we rob and short-change He only asks for ten percent and even that we can't seem to maintain we wonder why what we pray on doesn't seem to manifest yet we aren't willing to put our two cents worth to the test ' the blessings of the Lord add wealth without troubles the blessings of the Lord only by Him can be doubled your two cents worth would you give it to God? your two cents worth make sure its coming from the heart
