Now brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through the prophets, saying that Christ would suffer. Acts 3:17-18 [All in order for our sin's debts to be marked 'paid in full' through his suffering. He died on our behalf for our remissions of our sins.] Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out that times of your refreshing may come from the Lord and he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you--even Jesus. Acts 3:19-20 He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. For Moses said,"The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people." Acts 3: 21-23 Indeed all the prophets from Samuel on, as many have spoken, have foretold these days. And you are heirs to the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham,"Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed. When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways." Acts 3: 24-26 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 He did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? Christ Jesus, who died --more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: For your sake [the Apostle Paul and his crew] we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. Romans 8: 32-36 Therefore there is no now condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life [the Holy Spirit] set me [the Apostle Paul] from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weaken by sinful nature. God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful men to be a sin offering. Romans 8:1-3. [He's our Lamb of God!] Roxanne Lea Dubarry 02/13/24
