Poem
It was in the month of December, evening. My sister and I came back from the paddy fields The noon day sun disappeared for sleeping. Farmers untied their bullocks from the hay fields The bullocks ran towards the saggy ponds Farmers undressed their turbans and took bath We heard the cowboy's shouting sounds beyond. Cattle were returned from the pasture land's path The herd produced the dust storm on the way We were afraid and took asylum under a tree. Farmers kept the plough on their shoulders to stay. And went back to their bamboo huts flee Water lilies turned their heads towards the west And water frogs sat on the leaves and croak The Silver carps dived in the water best And made lightning in the upcoming night awoke The little crickets greeted the night by their sound Birds flew towards their nests very slow and low. They were not able to fly speedy and high around And their bellies were full and big though The banyan trees had become a noisy mansion Their falling fruits were scattered like chaff All the living creatures welcomed the darkness in. Why the humans shouldn't invite the night sir?
