Poem
I climbed atop the mountains, To find the Elevated One, He is in one of it's summits, Living all alone. I found him under a tree, Can't be found by anyone, I sit beside him, Tired and done. I began to speak, "O' Elevated One, I come from afar, Seeking knowledge, this Noble One." He opened his eyes, Looked around the zone, And asked, "Why do you seek, Me, this Modest One." "I came to seek wisdom, As you are, lauded by everyone, They all call you, The Elevated One." "O' Noble Lord, You're a Great One, Why do you need wisdom, Of this Humble One?" "I have all this wealth, His Majesty's most favored one, Countless wars I have seen, Esteemed by all and everyone." "You seem to have the admiration, Of each and everyone, Even His Majesty's. So why seek me, 'Cause I'm the the Elevated One?" "It is true, what I said, Accomplished all, by my lone, Travelled far and wide I have, This Esteemed One." "Yet in all my travels, I have always heard of this someone, People praised him all over, Known as, 'The Elevated One'." "So I had to see for myself, 'Who's this Elevated One?', Being spoken about in all of lands, By each and everyone." He looked at me in the eye, "Why are you here, O' Revered One?, No wisdom I have to offer, This Humble One." "So this is it?, The All Knowing One, No wisdom to offer, To this Beloved One." "You seem to know all, Everything and everyone, Stopped to consider have you, That maybe I am not the one?" "Who else could you be, Sitting here all alone?, Don't trifle with me, O' unscrupulous One." A smile broke in his face, An amicable one, "I am just a humble man, Not the Elevated One." "'Tis is what people call me, I don't claim to be one, So what is is that you want, O' Revered One." I think I understand, The mind of this one, So taking that to heart, I asked the Humble One. "Forgive my earlier actions, I am the misguided one, So, let me ask you, A question, only one." "You're living like this, Brushing aside the words of everyone, So how do I live like you, Not heeding the words of anyone?" "It is not a mistake, O' Noble One, To heed others' words, And of anyone." "But it becomes a folly, If you heed to everyone's, Not all sweet-tongued are your friends, Not all foes, sharp-tongued ones." As his words sunk, I called out, "O' Wise One, I have also become wiser, so once, Again, forgive this Humbled One." "I understand your plight, O' Revered One, For heavy is the head, That wears the crown."
