“Strange Creatures and The Forest of Egregore” Where do we go - when our rosebuds stop still in the cold, unwanted, along the unopened road? we walk into the forest alone, there we meet strange creatures - some say they have the heart of poets, philosophers artists, musicians angels and demons come and they go dispensing wishes some eating our souls, for good show some strange religion where Welles speak to the sparkplug tune like rivers running, fast and slow we are borne alone we live alone, we die alone some will say that this is untrue, that this isn’t so, but alone, we made our choice, through contract long long long ago in this strange place where time seems to stand still, we remember freedom, we swallow then purge bitter pills we forget about wars of the worlds and colliding pasts gone unmercifully wrong we walk out as strange creatures standing guard very still, very strong the unwaived unwavering before those approaching our path, we deflect fear melting like hail sticks and stones slings and arrows no longer have power to make of us shipwrecks our homes, broken towers we shine in our armour courage blooming from hearts burning torturous cans of worms turning the tables now canes with able together we stand alone but never apart shields and mottos our honour guards quills raised now opening the Egregore Road for other strange creatures to find true north, a compass reflecting true home their disbelief lost caught in anger, hurt follows grief closely by sorrow the road is strung with sticky webs we feed the demons Love like it’s honey they feed until they give in all manna fed, our thoughts and our feelings forgiveness, at the cross road, for them, tastes odd is strange medicine to dream of freedom of far better glorious things to walk with grace in their own footsteps Love assured and not lost, yet alone, gathering as one a see of all the forgotten Rosebuds standing guard opening hearts in The Egregore Forest the lost, now very well-lit, become burning paths to light the way HOME (LadyLabyrinth / 2022) "Losing My Religion"/ R.E.M. https://youtu.be/OKvCV8MFIaw "Rosebud is the trade name of a cheap little sled on which Kane was playing on the day he was taken away from his home and his mother. In his subconscious it represented the simplicity, the comfort, above all the lack of responsibility in his home, and also it stood for his mother's love, which Kane never lost." "We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone". (Orson Welles) Here's my creed, against Benjamin's. This is what I believe: 'That I am I.' ' That my soul is a dark forest.' 'That my known self will never be more than a little clearing in the forest.' 'That gods, strange gods, come forth f rom the forest into the clearing of my known self, and then go back.' ' That I must have the courage to let them come and go.' ' That I will never let mankind put anything over me, but that I will try always to recognize and submit to the gods in me and the gods in other men and women.' There is my creed. He who runs may read. He who prefers to crawl, or to go by gasoline, can call it rot.” (D.H. Lawrence) egregore. https://theosophy.wiki/en/Egregore angels (and demons).
