Poem
Solace snowflakes fall upon my cheek Been stressed out throughout the week Saw the crystalline fractals of ice fall too When I faced a sentimental winter so true When I faced a sentimental winter with you Flurry of snowstorms rush through my veins My mind is running so wild like a trillion trains Yet, I’m frozen with doubt and utter fear This year was a year of tears and cheer When I faced a sentimental winter with you yesteryear Distress collided with my spiraling soul of ice, wind and fire Don’t mind me as I unwind with my desirous, elegant ire I’m sorry I feel this way this wintertime Deep down, one day, I will feel sublime When I faced a sentimental winter with you time after time For now, I am totally freezing up in shameless smiles… Concealing the frowns due to going through some tough trials Away from the stage I’m going to sing on before Christmas as I see the many individuals take their seats This season is a rather merriless, merciless one for many who are cold and dying in the heartless streets When I faced a sentimental winter with you, pickling beets…to your heartbeats I’m entangled in the Christmas tree of painstaking, pristine, pessimistic paganism I’m dangling on the prism of fretfulness and trying to figure out my shattered wintry optimism Piece me together like your puzzle game Tell me you adore me the same, the same When I faced a sentimental winter with you — I’m not one to blame Tell me you adore me the same, the same Please make me feel better this sentimental winter Under the spell of shame that came, came undone Into my life the moment you left it with a bitter heart, tearing me apart as I welcome the sun When I faced a sentimental winter with you, hon…you had your fun, so why can’t I a ton? Moonshine comes to dance with me, but I refuse its open arms Sick and tired of Christmas charms…and the decorations that harms The mind of millions…sorry if I’m the Grinch out of the bunch; the joy I see is a façade that blurs But, I have a reason to not keep this holiday and yet, still have fun like the frivolous others… When I faced a sentimental winter with you — a wintry, wondrous year of errors Christmas is make believe and I’m rather bored It’s not real, so grieve not — it’s no big deal…it’s no big deal Relieve me from sorrow, oh Lord of Accord This is not Christ’s birthday…when will the broken-hearted heal? When I faced a sentimental winter with you, I stuffed my face with a stir fry meal Tomorrow will be a better day…I must say… For now, let me ignore and let go of the dismay And constant disarray that happens on the news It’s no news that I’ve been fighting the blues When I faced a sentimental winter with you Listen to me if you must — This holiday will turn to dust And all people will become truly happy tremendously Merriness and wondrous Kingdom — I’m longing to see When I faced a sentimental winter with you, my baby.. I don’t like this winter of sentimental glee that doesn’t show pure, gentle godliness I also don’t like this frosty winter of sentimental hatred I don’t appreciate his winter of sentimental pleas that has been snowed under in distress Neither do I appreciate this winter of sentimental dread When I faced a sentimental winter with you, I chose to go to bed instead Be full of joy always and forevermore It’s somewhat common sense to forget and forgive I’m a broken toy these days to the core It’s simply cliché, but I must let go and let live without a single fear When I faced a sentimental winter with you, I choose to give cheer
