Poem
I sit here alone with my thoughts of you Still yet everyday the same of not knowing what to do I know letting you go probably should be done But in my heart, being held in your arms is the place where I long to run We allowed our love, back then, end before it really had begun I don't know how you are taking it, but as for me I'm here with all this pain I'm left trying not to let my tears fall like rain While she has the best of you Because the best of yourself, for everyone, is all you do Yet does she honestly treasure it as much as I would Does she truely love you as much as she should Will she ever commit to you like I could I believe my love will make you stop searching for the one it is you seek I know my love for you is strong, as it's anything but weak But you go on right on holding her through her screams in the night Waiting for it to end and pretending in the daylight That all with her is quite alright You keep her there by your side And your true feelings you both continue to hide The whole time both your hearts are breaking Your souls are so wounded and merciless aching I'm standing right here in this place I stood before Knocking non stop on only your hearts door It's you, the man you are and always have been, to whom I so endlessly miss You are my reason that love in my life is complete and exists But then again perhaps my emotions are all a mistake Maybe here is where my heart is supposed to constantly forsake My feelings could possibly be so wrong Yet I still always feel it so intense and strong Maybe without you is truly where I belong Since so much time has gone on, and the years have been so long You know for sure just how and why I feel for you The way I do I know in my soul But not in words your own How you feel about me Now I'm wondering if ever you will see That between us, it's really meant to be From that fateful day we met and throughout eternity
