Poem
On December 1th after a russet sunset lingered a bit, the dusk had to lay its dark veil on the auburn Nature without sounds; and I accidentally spotted on the southern side of the clear sky: the half moon and two twinkling stars: one pointing West, the other pointing East...and this star resembled a lot the one that appeared on the manger in Bethlehem... and the Gospels were very specific about its awesome purpose and the significance of the birth of a Godly child! Eastern star of December, when Jesus was born, you shone brighter than any star throughout the Heavens, to bring that light that was overshadowed by sin... when the Earth was ruled by tyrants who had no love in themselves; and your appearance makes me glad to put it into a believer's words! Eastern star of December, you let me trace your origin: from the time when your glorious journey began... to bring hope to Mankind from a little town in Israel! Am I the only one to have discovered your hidden spot, where anyone could see you above the grove of pines and the scattered maple trees from a grassy terrain? And am I the chosen one to witness what nobody can? Is this vision a privilege that faith bestows upon the wise, who believe in the evidence that is immediately discerned without recurring to absurd assumptions to allow doubt! Oh, I still look up and glorify Him to receive more wisdom! Eastern star of December, you can't be forgotten to time.... as an insignificant celestial body, and they have tried to erase your splendor: with a disbelief so great to keep Mankind from finding that true light! Eastern star of December, you were assigned to baby Jesus... so that everyone could behold Him as your brilliance glowed on His divine face! Easter star of December, spend this night telling me of His birth at the manger... how He waited for the Wise Men to proclaim Him: the King of Kings! Copyright 2008 by Andrew Crisci
