USA Fourteen percent of the population create thirty nine percent of the crime Fifty seven percent of USA male prisoners come from live's of poverty Seventy two percent of USA female prisoners come from lives of poverty The Doctors child, hears the thoughts of a Doctor The Lawyers child, hears the thoughts of a Lawyer The Rich Mans child struggles so he pays for a tutor The Rich mans Child Struggles so he pays for a computer with wealth comes privileged education The poor mans child struggles and slips through the cracks of the system no job for him he's unemployed Selling drugs makes money money for the games of childhood drugs to make, the poor man smile drugs that hide their grief and pain money to pay for the rent and bills money to pay for the poor child's thrills with drugs they die from overdose with addiction, they become, crimes hosts the puppets of the mafia home invasions, shops and crime police arrest the poor mans child from gutter snipe he now grows wild with fight and wars his life's a test no job for him, his life's a mess I spoke to a woman wracked with drugs you're a fool she stated I know best drugs make life a game of chance try them now they make life fun yet the choice of Mothers, teach the child children grow with the things they're told children learn from the things they've seen like how to steal and which mans green your life's too quite, it's boring now I'll race my cars be number one I'll have some fun on the streets we run came the words I heard from the drug girls son yet time moves swiftly past my friend with broken laws it's jail time bend with drugs and friends they teach you more It's rape and violence I deplore I know a woman tried and true that from poverty climbed and grew became a nurse and taught a youth a path to climb above the pain a path to live with life's respect The poor mans child learns arguments children watch as drug parents fight children watch the alcoholic nights children watch and learn your words children watch and learn your games children suffer rape and pain You cry unto the cold dark night why do we have our wars and fight does poverty create the pain does poverty create the drive that leads to violence yet again we should stand up against the tide lets fight against the poverty ride Granted life's not black and white sometimes its wealthy people make, bad choices and poor people choose to overcome poverty we are still responsible for our own choices
