Poem
it was a momentous occasion at the Lord's last meal time for Jesus to tell His Disciples what is the real deal the tension was thick about the table, anticipation was in the air Jesus to reveal to His men the cross they must learn to bear they had witnessed His power, His divine authority they had seen time for a major announcement and all wondered what it would glean and after all the sacrifices and after all the concessions Jesus picks up a simple towel and then makes this confession today I have washed your feet so you may become a part of Me yet even though I have served you this way, there's one here who can't claim the victory you might not understand My words nor why this task I did undertake but to be a true disciple of God you must let your towel of service be the weight to be a servant to God is the first thing you must learn to do to be humble and submissive to the One who created you Jesus humbled Himself in the presence of His most devoted students a lesson in life to be learned that He felt was most prudent for in order to be a leader you must learn how to be lead to remember from where you come from and not to develop a swelled head the towel is the true tool in the art of being a servant to follow your master and in life learn to be observant to walk in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ to take up a towel and then bow down in sacrifice you can't be focused nor consumed with attaining a title or a position for that is not what God had in mind when He sent forth the Great Commission you can't be so concerned about receiving some status or some rank it's about serving God, making disciples and then giving Him all the thanks God gave each of us a special gift that we need to utilize a towel of service that will help us attain our eternal prize so take up your towel of service and then go take your place a true servant of the Master waiting on His mercy and grace let your towel be your testimony, let your towel talk the talk let your towel be of service and in the Spirit walk the walk it's not about money or prestige nor fortune nor fame it's about your towel of service and the victory you will claim let your towel be the weight and let it be your life's resume let it be your badge and the banner that you wear each and every day let your towel be your emblem, let your towel of service be the weight let it be your medal of faith in making 2008 great
