Follow your heart and capture pleasure and leisure
Follow your brain and nurture strain and pain beyond measure.

Follow the path your heart suggests
Unless keen you are to embrace the path the brain digests

Leading to a destiny
Ensconced in a monumental mutiny

Where no matter how hard you try
You manage to cry and dry

Options to break free
Of restrictions and interdictions to launch a spree

Which though tangible and plausible blesses the mind
Circulates a conundrum on the rind of the blind

Only to find time has flown by
To a more conducive era where try

As you may, opportunity disowns you
Teases you, pleases another supplicant from among the few

Whose hearts and eyes choose
To see opportunity in shoes

That walk and talk the language
Progress espouses in the crazy carriage

That frees you from the straitjacket and excess baggage
You arouse in blouses whose Facebook page 

Friendly to erudition which claims to eliminate
Hurdles as you glide upwards to ruminate  

On best methods to surge forth
Navigating West, East, South and North

In search of the ingredient that peels off sadness
Smuggles into your colourless life bundles and handles of boundless happiness

To mollify, pacify and purify your heart
Cleansing from it vestiges of pain from every rampart

As your heart flies to a new destination and build life anew
Deleting from life pages and wages of rage and pots of sadness stew.
