A Whiter Shade Of Pale

I skipped the light fandango, 
as I walked across the night  
turning cartwheels
upon a sky lit floor.  

I was feeling kind of sea sick, 
as the stars cried out with roar 
the ceiling flew away  
and so I soared, a little more   (pause)

This is not for any contest especially since I like better versions than the one sung by Glenn Hughes which is not much to my liking.  Furthermore, this is more in the region of commenting on the song rather than writing a poem about it.

Whiter Than

On Resurrection Day,
	when my spirit is born again,
me gon be wearing
	saintly garments whiter than

virgin snow

from the firmament falling
down below

In the purifying breeze
that gently blow,
me gon be making snow angels
to cleanse 
my body and soul

Come salvation day,
	ain’t gon be no prickly pain
from cotton picking

Me will be given rest
	from labors of toil vexing

I started my journey as a  black sheep in the fold
always rolling in the wrong direction
 So I was starved for affection
I was abandoned by the fold

Last blood test came up,
40% Budweiser I am told,

That this life surely stinks.
