Unconquerable Poems

Resilient Resistance Unconquerable

Every mundane moment hides a trap door,
A song on the radio, a slammed screen door,
The scent of jasmine floating on summer air—
Each one a key unlocking memories I cannot bear.

Coffee spills across the counter's white,
And suddenly I'm back in that kitchen, that night,
When everything familiar turned strange and wild,
And safety shattered like a cup defiled.

try by word and gun, to quelch their outstanding greatness!

The will to keep expecting the far
And celebrate it sometime in a bar
Honey-sweet news defying today’s anguish
And yesterday’s unanswered  wish:
Igneous-hard belief that the overcast cloud
Won’t for too long remain proud…

Unconditionally bowing out…

midst the bosom of a once bountiful farm
lies the graveyard of my ancestors~
the gush of tears that flowed here- only the wind knows;
the willows by the brooks~ are barely there,
and those who survived have so many stories to tell.
