        In the Moonless Night
      My forgotten heart darkens
        sobs deep solitude.

Isolation Is Like The Moonless Sky

The moon is full, but it sheds no grace,
A hollow lantern in the velvet space.
Its light falls cold on the ocean's crest,
Where waves surge on, in eternal unrest.

Loneliness whispers through the trees,
A soft, forlorn hymn carried by the breeze.
Savannah's tall grass sways in despair,
The stillness broken by no tender care.

The rivers wind with a mournful

Under the mystical veil of a moonless night

Under the mystical veil of a moonless night,
I am but a leaf carried by the unseen currents of time,
A feather in the wind, anchored to nothing, bound by no direction.
Each day calls to me with its silent voice,
Each night whispers ancient promises,
And my thoughts flow like an untamed river,
A cascade of dreams, fantasies, and forgotten

MOONLESS NIGHT

It's one of those nights
The moon hoards its light
Fireflies taking stage
Lighting life into our gasping breaths.

Stars whispered known secrets
To the cool, quiet breeze
Grass beneath the sheets we lay
Cries for mercy as our act painful.

Our shadows danced softly
On the porch's dark floor
A cricket curiously whistles
To our intense emotions it applauds.

We lay without words
Gazing at the empty

The Deep Shades of a Moonless Night

How many lumens would it take to burn you
Sky-clad and free under the pale moonlight
Would your aching bleached skin cry in relief
Feeling anything in the dark of night again?

How long has it been since the full moon shone?
Have ten years slipped away so easily?
It's been longer than it hasn't by now
And has been for quite

Shadows Dancing In a Moonless Night

Is our love a dance macabre? 
A dilly dallying with death? 
Or a mystic encounter of unabated love? 
Will it last?  Will it end? 
So many questions left unanswered, 
So many uncertainties attested, 
All cumulative in a death wish 
As emotions run devilishly amok. 
  
My soul screams with this unpredictability, 
Its echoes

Moonless Nights

winged nocturnal creatures
within the confines of my mind
beat circles high and low
hunting in the dead of night

i sense the flapping of their wings
in moonless starless skies

sullen pleas of captive demons
weary ghosts and unhinged angels
reach far beyond my cliffs of sanity
in the haunting dead of silence

In My Soul

When I was a teenager
Nothing seemed to be fair
So I rebelled
And I dyed my hair

It was as black as a moonless Halloween night
Which echoed my spirit to my poor parents fright

My days spun listlessly in an endless slog
My core boiled and bubbled up
infected soup of smog 

Throughout my journey many feelings lingered
Handicapped by sensations 
my

Dreaming

Staring from
  the tiny porch-

     found a 
moonless midnight;

   searched for 
fiery stars.

   Finding none
he merged within
        a purple sky

Moonless Beach

holding what the twilight brings
sleepless nights, empty dreams
close my eyes, visions creep
passion ebbed on moonless beach

wander, footsteps in smooth sand
head down on deserted strand
listen to the ocean speak
what I hear that leaves me weak

turn around go back to start
left alone with this full heart
no one feels this love I seek
wandering on a moonless beach

Moonless Whispers

scary silences
most unnatural
spooky sounds
clouds that weigh
eerie music
a cold draft
all déja vu
in the twilight zone

Its chain cut again…
   the demon is loose

Deep into the night,
  she hunts darker truths

The hallway’s back stairs,
  her favorite retreat

Pending daylight’s return,
  when her bite becomes weak

Then she staggers back wounded
  to shadows that call

Old blood trails lead silent  
  down that dark lonely hall
